Bilingual Accounting Assistant - with Great Benefits

Home builder and developer seeking a Bilingual Accounting Assistant who will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the accounting department by performing various clerical tasks and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with financial software such as Quickbooks Desktop
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be bilingual in English & Spanish

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the construction accounting is a plus
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of tax regulations and filing requirements
