Job Description - Bilingual ADHD Program Lead

El Futuro is seeking a full-time ADHD Program Lead to provide strategic leadership and direct clinical and programmatic service delivery for El Futuro’s ADHD program. This role integrates program design, evaluation, and continuous improvement; supports and supervises staff; and collaborates with internal and community partners to ensure high‑quality, accessible, and effective services that meet the individual needs of children and families.


 


This is a full-time, in-person position working a regular schedule of 37.5 hours per week, in the Durham Clinic and in school settings; including afternoons to early evening (usually until 6:00pm); with occasional work time in the evening and/or weekends. Must be available for Friday meetings and programmatic events.


 


The annual salary for this position starts at $55,000.00. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


The ADHD Program Lead performs a wide range of functions including, but not limited to the following:


 


Program Leadership and Development 



  • Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of ADHD-related programs and initiatives. 



  • Oversee program goals, timelines, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and values. 



  • Develop and implement program evaluation tools (e.g., logic models, outcome measures). 



  • Collaborate with the grants team to support program design, reporting, and funding sustainability. 



Direct Services and Clinical Support 



  • Conduct pre-assessment evaluations to determine appropriate care pathways for new patients. 



  • Maintain a caseload providing individual coaching to parents and children. 



  • Facilitate El Faro, an 8-week, research-based parent education program. 



  • Write comprehensive client reports to support continuity and quality of care. 



Staff Supervision and Collaboration 



  • Supervise and support ADHD program staff, fostering professional growth and accountability. 



  • Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with therapists, psychiatrists, and care teams. 



Family, School and Community Engagement 



  • Lead outreach and recruitment for El Faro and related family programs. 



  • Serve as a liaison with schools to support coordination and advocacy for students and families. 



  • Build partnerships with community organizations to extend program reach. 



Education, Training & Public Engagement 



  • Develop and deliver trainings such as “Train the Trainer” and parent mentor models. 



  • Create educational materials (guides, handouts, videos) for families and educators. 



  • Present at conferences, workshops, and community events. 



  • Represent the organization through podcasts, media interviews, and public-facing content. 


 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience in care coordination or similar work, preferably in a mental health or healthcare setting.

  • Experience facilitating groups and providing parent/child coaching.


 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES



  • Required: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Proficient in working autonomously as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural setting. 

  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities with meticulous attention to detail and organizational proficiency.

  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to cater to evolving client and organizational needs.

  • Alignment with El Futuro’s mission to nurture stronger familias to live out their dreams.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF EL FUTURO STAFF



  • Participate in meetings and organizational related activities as directed by the supervisor, which may include All Staff Meeting, one-on-one meetings, participation on committees, participation in community engagement events, or other activities.

  • Play an active role in the continued development of El Futuro’s work via participation in fundraising and other agency-wide activities.



WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • In-person role based in Durham Clinic, with occasional remote work.

  • Work schedule includes afternoons to early evening (usually until 6:00pm) and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Some travel required to schools and community settings.
