About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Los Angeles, CA!

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA
• Schedule: 2 sessions for 2 to 3 sessions a week (tutoring hours TBD)
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in French and English, with ability to teach in French.
• Experience working with special education students, especially in social skills and behavior support.
• Skilled in teaching foundational literacy and math concepts.
• Knowledge of behavior management and self-regulation strategies.
• Patient, flexible, and creative in adapting lessons to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized lessons to strengthen foundational reading and math skills aligned with the student’s academic level.
• Teach and reinforce social skills through role-playing, social stories, and guided interactions.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors during sessions.
• Support the student’s development of self-regulation techniques to manage frustration and maintain focus.
• Use French as the primary language of instruction to meet the student’s language preference.
• Collaborate with caregivers and educational professionals to align tutoring goals with the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
