Job Title:  Bilngual Health Center Associate I

Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia

Reports To: Health Center Manager

FLSA Status:  Full-time, Non-exempt

Salary: $21 -$23 per hour

 

Planned Parenthood Southeast seeks a compassionate and dependable Bilingual Health Center Associate I to join our Atlanta healthcare team. In this role, you will support patients throughout their health center experience—from check-in and registration to patient intake, clinical assistance, laboratory services, education, and checkout. You will communicate with patients in both English and Spanish, helping ensure they receive clear information and respectful, culturally responsive care. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, pays close attention to detail, and is committed to providing inclusive and nonjudgmental sexual and reproductive healthcare.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:




  1. At least two years of healthcare experience.




  2. Experience using an electronic health record system.




  3. Fluency in English and Spanish, including the ability to explain healthcare information clearly in both languages.




  4. Strong communication, customer-service, and organizational skills.




  5. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.




  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.




  7. Commitment to compassionate, inclusive, and nonjudgmental patient care.




  8. Ability to support patients receiving objective information about all pregnancy options, including abortion, adoption, and parenting.






 




Preferred Qualifications



  1. Experience in abortion care and family planning.

  2. Certification as a Medical Assistant , Surgical Technologist, or Licensed Practical Nurse.



 


 


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  1. Welcome patients and provide professional, friendly service in English and Spanish.




  2. Complete patient registration, check-in, data entry, payment collection, and checkout.




  3. Assist patients with forms and explain health center processes.




  4. Maintain accurate information in the electronic health record and patient-tracking systems.




  5. Provide patient education and counseling within the scope of the position.




  6. Review medical histories and prepare patients for visits, examinations, and procedures.




  7. Obtain and document vital signs.




  8. Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures.




  9. Prepare and perform allowable laboratory tests and complete laboratory requisitions.




  10. Document laboratory results and maintain required logs and quality-control records.




  11. Prepare, clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms, procedure rooms, and laboratory areas.




  12. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols.




  13. Support patient flow and communicate delays or operational concerns to the healthcare team.




  14. Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.




  15. Assist in other areas of the health center and provide coverage at other locations when needed.




Physical Requirements


This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, move throughout a clinical environment, and lift up to 20 pounds. Occasional travel to other PPSE locations, meetings, trainings, or conferences may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities.
