Job Description - Bilingual Payroll Specialist

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a talented Bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our team in Fremont! This is an onsite role where you will coordinate and process employee payroll for company employees. The ideal candidate will be tech savvy with pertinent payroll programs and software, ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, and enjoy working directly with employees!

Fulltime, Internal Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Fremont, CA (onsite)
Salary: $33.65/hr
Hours: 8:00-5:00, Mon-Fri (potential for OT)

Qualifications

Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Proven payroll/timekeeping experience in work history.
Previous experience within the construction industry strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and CA wage and hour laws.
Proficient in Excel, especially with formulas and pivot tables.
Timerack and Avionte experience a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
Must be comfortable being employee facing.

Core Responsibilities

Process payroll on a weekly basis.
Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime based on employee records.
Ensure compliance with CA local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
Maintain payroll records and reports for auditing purposes.
