Bilingual Practice Assistant ($23/hr) - Collaborative Environment

Practice Secretary @ Community Health Center

Type: Temp-to-perm

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
(can flex 8:30AM – 5:30PM, 9AM – 6PM, etc.)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be bilingual, English/Spanish
• Minimum 1 year of experience as patient service / administrative in healthcare setting
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of clerical and reception activities that support the delivery of services to patients and staff of the department
• Utilize customer service to greet patients and screen walk-ins to the practice
• Check-in and check-out patients
• Enter requested follow-up, referrals, and / or x-file appointments upon check-out
• Review after summary instructions with patients as needed
• Print additional labels as needed
• Responsible for chart preparation and other opening / closing procedures
• Use computer to schedule, cancel, and confirm appointments, request records, and manage x-file appointments and communicate by email or staff message
• Interact with patients and other staff in a professional and respectful manner
• Provide excellent customer service and make patients feel welcome
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Use communication devices appropriately
