Bilingual Construction Safety Manager


Location: Port Washington, WI
Duration: 8 Months (Start: 9/16)
Type: 1099 Contractor


Compensation & Schedule


Pay Rate: $45.50/hr
Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week
Additional Schedule Details: Overtime opportunities are expected as the project ramps up. Candidates should be comfortable supporting increased manpower and evolving project demands.

This opportunity provides hands-on safety leadership for a major drywall subcontractor with approximately 140 craft employees performing interior systems and drywall installation activities within a mission-critical construction environment.


The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a highly visible field presence while working directly with foremen, superintendents, craft personnel, subcontractors, and project leadership to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe execution of drywall installation, framing activities, material handling operations, elevated work, and interior buildout scopes.


Required Qualifications


✔ Bilingual Spanish/English Required
✔ OSHA 30 Construction Certification
✔ Minimum 3+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
✔ Strong ability to communicate safety expectations with English and Spanish-speaking craft personnel


Preferred Qualifications


⭐ Data Center Construction Experience
⭐ Drywall or Interior Systems Construction Experience
⭐ Experience Supporting Large Craft Workforces (100+ Employees)
⭐ Framing and Interior Buildout Experience
⭐ CHST, ASP, CSP, or Other BCSP Credential
⭐ Contractor Safety Management Experience


What You'll Be Doing



  • Provide daily field safety oversight for drywall and interior systems construction activities

  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas

  • Support a workforce of approximately 140 craft employees and supervisors

  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments

  • Monitor framing, drywall installation, material handling operations, and elevated work activities

  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements

  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions

  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel

  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors

  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation

  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports

  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

Success in this role requires maintaining a strong field presence, proactively identifying hazards, effectively communicating with both English and Spanish-speaking personnel, and ensuring drywall, framing, and interior systems installation activities are executed safely while supporting project productivity, quality, and schedule objectives.
