Integrated Scaffolding Concepts is seeking a Scaffold Helper to assist leadmen with day-to-day activities, including erecting, maintaining, and dismantling temporary scaffolding for construction projects. This role involves working safely at heights and supporting experienced scaffold builders onsite
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing, and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
Transport, unload, and organize scaffolding materials at job sites.
Assist the leadman in building and securing scaffolding to structures.
Lay planks and platforms for workers.
Install fall protection equipment as needed.
Help hoist and lower materials safely onto scaffolding.
Work with crane operators to rig materials onto platforms.
Inspect scaffolding and report any damage or safety concerns.
Use hand and power tools as needed.
Assist with scaffolding breakdown when projects are complete.
Follow all safety procedures and project plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
Authorized to work in the United States
Experience using various power/hand tools
Previous scaffolding experience preferred but not needed.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from job orders, & work orders
Demonstrated ability to listen and follow instructions carefully and accurately
Basic math skills
Attention to detail
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment safely and correctly
Demonstrated commitment to following safety rules
Reliable transportation to and from work daily.
OSHA training preferred
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to the following:
Able to work in an outdoor construction work environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, waste, toxic and infectious materials and possible inclement weather conditions.
Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, stretch, squat and climb, often in restricted spaces and at great heights for extended periods on ladders and scaffolding.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
Good dexterity and coordination
Able to wear required personal protective equipment.
Able to work safety with specialized construction equipment, tools, and materials.
Able to see, talk and hear in person and phone.
Able to lift & carry items up to approximately 50 lbs.
Able to understand and execute actions based on verbal and visual instructions.
