Bilingual Sr. Human Resources Manager position in the Chicago Loop!

 

Lee Hecht Harrison is looking for Spanish-speaking HR leader to take charge of a small non-profit’s people operations department. If you’re looking for an opportunity to work for an organization that changes the lives of residents of Chicago, this job is for you!

 

  • Compensation Range: $48.08 - $59.97 Per Hour (Depending on Experience & Technical Skillet)

  • Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Want to Start an Interim Person ASAP)

  • Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm (Full-Time; 40 Hours Per Week) 

  • Worksite: Hybrid (2 Days In-Office / 3 Days Work From Home)

  • Dress Code: Business Casual

  • Report To: COO

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, collaborating closely with the COO.

  • Oversees all HR operations, including recruitment, training, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.

  • Partners with senior leadership to identify workforce needs and develop talent acquisition and retention strategies.

  • Fosters a positive work environment, promotes diversity and inclusion, and mentors the HR team for professional growth.

 

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English Fluency is needed). The organization focuses on developing Hispanic communities, etc.

  • 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience; 3 years of experience in an HR leadership role. Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced education preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of all HR functions & principles (including recruiting & onboarding, talent management & development, employee relations, benefits & payroll administration, HR compliance, safety, etc.)

  • Prior experience & knowledge working in union & non-union environments and dealing with OSHA
