Position Summary

Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a Billing & Accounts Coordinator to support the billing department in processing invoices, maintaining client records, and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage various administrative billing functions efficiently.

This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate with clients and team members effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Accounts Processing

  • Generate, review, and process invoices in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate billing records and client account updates.
  • Handle client inquiries regarding billing issues and resolve discrepancies.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of billing reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and client contract terms.
  • Help with audits and support financial reporting processes.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Collaborate with finance, client services, and operations teams.
  • Ensure billing procedures align with company policies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in billing, accounts payable, or accounting support.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in government contracting or defense-related billing.
  • Familiarity with billing platforms or CRM systems.

  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Address billing issues and discrepancies proactively.
  • Time Management: Handle multiple billing tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

  • Professional office environment (or hybrid/remote if applicable).
  • May require occasional travel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance may be required.
