Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Billing Coordinator to join a prestigious law firm client. This Billing Coordinator will be joining the 60-member billing team and will be responsible for all aspects of billing for an assigned group of lawyers and clients. This includes producing invoices for clients with complex billing arrangements, complying with applicable collection policies and adhering to outside counsel guidelines. The Billing Coordinator will work closely with partners and their secretaries, other lawyers, client contacts and Finance staff to ensure the billing process is done in a timely and accurate manner and that client balances are paid on time.
The day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Maintain a thorough knowledge of client terms, discount arrangements, and lawyer and client preferences.
Ensure the billing process, from pro formas to final billing is done accurately and timely in accordance to firm standards and client guidelines, in addition to ensuring e-billing issues are promptly resolved.
Manage the unbilled and billed inventory for the assigned group of lawyers/clients and enter summary notes monthly.
Ensure that requests for special rates and alternative fee arrangements are communicated to the pricing committee for review and ultimate disposition, and assist with the application of unidentified cash receipts.
Support client and partner requests for accrual information that is timely and accurate.
This is a 6-9 month contract position that is hybrid, in the office 2 days a week, in one of the following locations -- Boston, NYC, Chicago, or San Fran.
Compensation:
$25/hr to $37/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including geographic location, skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements
2-5 years of billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Hands on experience with time and billing software, such as Elite, Aderant, and/or 3E
Proficiency in Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables and filters
Team player with excellent oral and written skills and strong analytical and critical thinking skills Experience with e-billing
Hands on experience with 3E null
