Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Billing Manager for billing operations within SEW. The Billing Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, primarily managing tasks within our CRM system. The majority of billing occurs post-installation, with additional billing activities following the receipt of permission to operate (PTO) from utility providers.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure timely collection of revenue directly from customers by phone and email.
· Own the functionality of building billing tasks into the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Manage the billing process post-installation and post-PTO, ensuring all customers are accurately billed for services rendered.
· Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into departmental health, including aging, backlog of unbilled customers, and throughput of billed customers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
· Analyze billing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
· Oversee departmental training initiatives to ensure staff members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to execute billing processes effectively.
· Lead efforts for continuous process improvement within the billing department, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Proven experience in billing management or related roles, preferably within the solar industry or a similar field with complex billing processes.
· Proficiency in CRM systems, with the ability to navigate and optimize functionality for billing purposes.
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret billing data and generate actionable insights.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
· Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience in training and mentoring team members.
