*Please note the hours needed for this position: Tuesday -Friday 7:45-3:45pm and Saturday 5:15-1:15pm *
Position Summary
Maintain accurate billing records for Island Crossing Counseling Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide billing services which includes accepting and recording cash payments, checking eligibility, checking EOB’s, filling out financial contracts, meeting with patients, creating spreadsheets for medical coupon payments, tracking payments and billing, preparing insurance billing where applicable and preparing month end billing reports.
· Provide back-up coverage and support to the administrative team.
· Work as a team member within the Stillaguamish Tribe
· Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
· TARGET system input of activities, admissions, and discharges.
· Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Ability to type at least 45 wpm with no errors
· Ability to operate general office equipment including computers, photocopiers, and adding machine
· Good command and previous training on computerized word processing programs.
· Knowledge of billing and collection procedures and general business office procedures

· Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
· Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
· Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
· Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
· Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· Successful completion of business course or equivalent level of work experience.
· Ability to pass criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and ongoing random drug screenings.
· WA State Driver license and ability to be approved by Tribal insurance to drive Tribal vehicles if applicable.
Travel Requirements
Local travel is frequently required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required.
