Billing Specialist

Flatrock Manor is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Specialist to support our growing organization. This role is essential in ensuring accurate, timely billing and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including contracted counties.

• Complete monthly billing authorizations for contracted counties
• Review contracts to verify billing rates, terms, and financial accuracy
• Ensure proper use and verification of billing codes in alignment with county requirements
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation supports accurate billing
• Respond to claim denials promptly and resubmit with required corrections
• Communicate regularly with county representatives regarding billing issues
• Submit, document, and maintain accurate clinical billing records
• Complete paper billing when necessary
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the Finance Director
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with staff and leadership

• Minimum of 2 years of billing experience (required)
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
