Billing Specialist

Must Haves:
Two (2) years experience in insurance billing, or related area OR associate degree in business.
Good verbal communication skills and basic typing ability.
At least one year of billing in a hospital setting.
Plusses:
B.S. degree in Business or Accounting.
Prior hospital or healthcare experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of electronic billing systems.

Day to day:
Medicare - The Billing/Collection Specialist will be responsible for billing health insurance carriers, self-pay, and institutional accounts on patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will need to know hospital billing, UEB4, and can follow up adequately to retrieve payment. They will need to be open to going onsite for the first 90 days and then work remote.
