As part of our continued growth, we’re seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support accurate and timely invoicing in our construction division.

Position Overview

The role of a Billing Specialist is to ensure billing processes are efficient, accurate, and align with the customer billing requirements.

Essential Job Functions

• Create and send invoices to customers while verifying accuracy such as invoice details, labor rates, and customer specific requirements.


• Maintaining customer relationships and communications post invoice submission.


• Verifying all customers have accurate billing information in the system.


• Manage the Accounting Board and communicate potential issues in the flow of work.


• Respond to inquiries from customers regarding billing issues


•  Work with sales, management, and customers when billing issues arise.


• Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounting for customer and billing related issues.


• Maintain files and records to ensure information is up to date and organized.


• Additional office duties and projects as needed.


• Assist with customer specific billing calls.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of billing experience in the construction industry, ideally with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical contractors


• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Sage, Foundation, or similar)


• Excellent Excel skills


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Highly organized with exceptional follow-thru abilities


• Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally


• Ability to respond to situations with professionalism and sensitivit


•  Excellent time management skills


• Punctual, dependable and possess a positive attitude
