Job Description - BIM Technical Coordinator (Bilingual: English & Spanish)


Pay Rate: $28 - $32 per hour

Randall is seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technical Coordinator to manage BIM processes within our local fabrication shop and on-site plumbing and mechanical trade construction projects. The BIM Technical from our headquarters in Apopka, FL.

 

Position Summary

Randall’s on-site plumbing and mechanical trade construction projects. The BIM Technical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating BIM standards, developing and implementing BIM protocols, and ensuring the accurate integration of BIM technology within our processes.

 

Essential Functions



  • Facilitate Coordination Meetings: Facilitate Coordination Meetings with Project Managers and Fabrication Shop Manager to discuss BIM data updates, resolve any issues related to data management and discuss current BIM needs for each department and/or project.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation related to BIM processes and Data Management. Generate reports as needed.

  • BIM Model Creation: Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM models throughout the lifecycle of new and existing projects.

  • BIM Standards: Ensure adherence to internal and external BIM standards and project requirements.

  • QA/QC Oversight: Conduct regular quality control checks of the BIM model and its data.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams from the fabrication shop, project managers, and on-site construction supervision to troubleshoot and resolve BIM-related issues.

  • BIM Schedule: Update and support changes to the schedule in Touchplan.

Desired Qualification Requirements



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) strongly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BIM management, preferably within a fabrication or construction environment.

  • Experience: Must have Code knowledge in the plumbing and mechanical trades.

  • Experience: Familiarity with BIM to fabrication software such as CADmep.

  • Skills: Proficiency in BIM software applications such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant tools. Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage complex models and ensure accuracy.

  • Team Player: Excellent team management and collaboration skills.

  • Innovative: Ability to implement new BIM methodologies and technologies to improve efficiency.

Physical Requirements

This is primarily an office position and, as such, you must be able to sit up to six or more hours in an eight-hour workday, lift light objects such as files and paperwork frequently during the day, and objects weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally during the day. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job.
