Bindery Machine Operator - Fulltime Days

Mackin Educational Resources is a well-established, highly respected company that has openings for Fulltime Bindery Machine Operators at its Topeka, KS Bindery.

Responsibilities

• Operate various bindery equipment which may include cutting, folding, scoring, stitching, and gluing equipment.
• Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Perform routine adjustments as well as perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
• Follow established manner to run product through assigned machine to produce expected quality and quantity.to support staff to prepare for order production.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• The ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, stand during entire shift, use fingers, hands and arms continuously in controlled movement.
• Perform repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere is necessary.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
• Ability to accurately use dimension measurement tools (i.e. ruler/tape measure).
• Previous Bindery Machine Operator experience a plus

Education & Experience

• High School or GED

Hours

• Full-time, 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), Monday through Friday
• Week-ends and Overtime as needed

• $17.75 per hour
