Job Title: Bindery Operator

Department: Bindery

Purpose of Job: Operate the bindery equipment correctly and efficiently to provide the highest level of quality and service to our customers

Major Duties

• Be attentive and ready to work M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm - overtime if needed
• Supportive of overall company goals and activities.
• Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
• Guarantee satisfaction and value for our customers.
• Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth.
• Set up and operate cutter.
• Set up and operate folder, stitcher, and shrink wrapper.
• Set up and operate UV coater
• Place samples into tickets.
• Ship packages.
• Padding.
• Generate package labels.
• Record time and function of each process.
• Record bindery totals and materials used on job ticket.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Keep job board updated.
• Operate pallet jack and be trained on fork truck

Special Duties

• When asked, assist with other duties when assigned.
• Bindery are the last set of eyes to catch any issue on jobs before our customers see them. Provide meticulous quality control.

Reports to: Production Manager

Works with: Production Manager, Prepress, Press Operator, and Mailing
