Bindery Operator

Position Responsibilities:

The Bindery Operator finishes high-quality products by setting up and operating equipment which includes automated cutters, folders, and saddle stitchers. Sets up and operates equipment efficiently to meet or exceed customer requirements and the company’s quality standards. Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste and rework. Diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, troubleshoots and provides the required maintenance to equipment in a timely manner. Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures and follows all standard operating procedures and work. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Position Qualifications:

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent


• Minimum 5 years commercial bindery operator experience which includes setting up and operating cutting and folding equipment within a commercial printing environment. Previous work experience in setting up and operating saddle stitching equipment is highly desirable.
