Biomedical Equipment Tech II

Full-time, M-F, 7:00a-3:30p (after-hours, on -call rotation)

Job Description:

Under general supervision, the Biomedical Equipment Technician installs, test, repairs, maintains, and calibrates clinical medical devices. Follows established policies and procedures and according to manufacturer guidelines and recommendations. The Biomedical Equipment Technician ensures adherence to hospital and departmental policies and regulatory standards and guidelines. Demonstrates commitment to the quality, philosophy, and values of Baptist Health by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, process improvement, and safety standards. Demonstrates the Baptist Health standards in all interpersonal relations.

Requirements/Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering preferred. Military Electronics / Military Biomedical Experience In lieu of associate degree or five years biomedical experience in lieu of associate degree.

• Five years of biomedical experience
