Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Maintain detailed records of service and repair work using Clinical Engineering work orders
Stay up-to-date with technical advancements through continued research and training
Request necessary parts and materials for maintenance and repairs
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support as scheduled
Coordinate assignments with fellow BMETs and support vendor projects
Prepare technical reports, travel documentation, and reimbursement submissions
Technical Duties:
Perform preventive maintenance and repair of a wide variety of medical equipment
Install and test new medical systems; complete installation documentation
Present in-service training to healthcare staff on proper use and safety of medical devices
Conduct root cause analysis and documentation for recurring equipment issues
Ensure regular calibration and performance testing of medical devices to maintain operational integrity
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, OR
Associate’s degree in Biomedical, Electronic, or Computer Technology with at least 4 years of experience
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, mechanics, chemistry, and physiology
ICC Certification is a plus
Ability to lift and handle heavy medical equipment
