Here, you\u2019ll be supported in progressing \u2013 whatever your ambitions. \n\nAbout the role:\n\nAs a Field Service Technician II at Boston Scientific, you will serve as a trusted technical partner to our customers by installing, maintaining, and servicing Boston Scientific medical systems and devices. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires strong technical expertise and the ability to solve problems independently.\n\nThis position plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through a consistent commitment to delivering high-quality service. You will manage your own territory and work closely with healthcare providers and patients to support optimal equipment performance, user training, and overall service delivery.\n\nThis role supports Boston Scientific\u2019s Cardiovascular Division, including products such as IVUS, AVVIGO, AngioJet, ICEfx, FARAPULSE, Rhythmia, and SmartFreeze systems.\n\nCollaboration with cross-functional teams may include support for sales, complaint resolution, event coverage, and field documentation, depending on business needs.\n\nThe selected candidate will reside near Tampa, FL managing their assigned territory, and providing coverage to the Southeastern Region of the U.S. as needed. Check out our video featuring Bob to learn more about the role: https://videomy.co/sh2Iydw\n\nSponsorship:\n\nBoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n * Provide on-site service including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of medical systems and equipment\n * Train and educate medical staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting\n * Deliver technical support for field escalations, customer concerns, and warranty inquiries\n * Manage routine and emergency service requests within your assigned territory\n * Accurately document service events, complaint information, and system updates using internal tools\n * Adhere to standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements\n * Participate in projects, event support, or cross-functional tasks as required by the business unit\n * Maintain strong communication with internal teams, customers, and leadership regarding service activities and priorities\n\n\n\nRequired qualifications:\n\n * An Associate\u2019s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field; OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (including equivalent military or field service experience) may be considered in lieu of a degree\n * Strong electrical, mechanical, and machine controls knowledge, including machine-based software\n * Proficiency in troubleshooting and servicing complex technical or medical equipment\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset\n * Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time to service customers, sometimes on short notice\n * Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision\n * Valid driver\u0027s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable service vehicle that meets company insurance requirements\n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * Prior technical field service, biomedical, or military technical MOS experience\n * Experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery environments\n * Business unit-specific experience:\n * Cardiovascular Devices: Background in EP, Cath Lab, or imaging technologies\n * Certification or coursework in Laser Technology, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering\n * Strong proficiency with business systems and Microsoft Office Suite\n\n\n\nRequisition ID: 626267\n\nMinimum Salary: $ 49608\n\nMaximum Salary: $ 84344\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
