Job Title Biomedical Site Lead - Greenville, Mississippi Job Description
Biomedical Site Lead Greenville, Mississippi: Repair and maintain equipment identified in assigned site(s). With direction from the Multi-Vendor Area Service Manager, supports all operational aspects covered under the contract for assigned accounts. Maintains an in-depth understanding of the contractual obligations to the customer. Supervise daily biomedical activities for assigned accounts. Coordination & daily supervision of outside
vendors/subcontractors

Philips representative of the health care facility as the Biomedical Supervisor maintaining all policies & procedures for customer and Philips, including managing the contracts, controlling service, and overall results. Serve as a member of the hospital safety committee, equipment selection committee, and facility planning committee and/or other formal hospital committees as requested by the customer. Participates in customer’s departmental meetings as a technical adviser. Your role: Act as primary contact for the customer. Own customer experience by communicating effectively and projecting a sense of urgency to meet customer expectations and build credibility and trust. Facilitate in-service training to facility staff when requested by the customer. Proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions that will help to meet the needs of the customer. Identify, implement and share best practices with the local Biomed team and across the Zone. Build relationships with customers, gain understanding of competitive environments, and identify opportunities for growth. Takes ownership of all customer issues and follows the current escalation process. May be requested to serve upon/provide consultation to various hospital committees as requested by customer. Eligible candidates must live within commuting distance to the hospital; work is 100% on site. Compliance/Operational
Management: Performs all administrative duties within established Philips and regulatory standards, policies and guidelines including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, preventative maintenance, installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork. Understand customer contract entitlements, meet required response times, deliver service per the customer entitlement, and obtain purchase orders for any service delivered outside of customer entitlements. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for asset management. Prepare for, and successfully complete, Annual Quality Assessment Tool surveys and all State and Federal Audits (e.g. CAP, TJC, DNV). Provide summary of findings, escalate, and make recommendations as appropriate. Submit billable “Out of Contract” expenses monthly and billable Service Work Order repair events upon completion to customer for payment. Return unused or defective parts within required timeframe as defined by the parts policies and guidelines. Manages company assets effectively in accordance with established Philips processes and guidelines including labor time, parts ordering and returns, tools and test equipment calibration, purchase orders, equipment, company vehicles, business expenditures, etc. Manage and maintain accurate install base documentation including incoming inspections, adds, deletes, cannot locates, device retirement in support of the quarterly reconciliation process) Safeguard patient data per HIPAA and associated regulatory requirements. Ensure a clean and organized shop that maximizes efficiency. Ensure that all equipment is properly labeled with applicable repair status. Provides customer with monthly Environment of Care (EOC) reports. Adhere to the customer’s Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and operate under the required State and Federal regulatory requirements including established training, quality, and safety requirements.) Technical Perform PM, CM, and electrical safety maintenance on both high risk and non-high risk biomedical equipment
Maintain up-to-date technical skills. Seek out formal and informal training opportunities
Apply good documentation practices (GDP) to all work orders including recurring technical problems, in support of quality, equipment uptime and continuous improvement)
Manage and maintain test tool inventory
Utilize tools, support, resources and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively
Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be flexible in working hours as this position will require customer support during non-regular business hours, mandatory overtime on short notice, and/or weekend work as necessary. Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide customer support. Responsible for carrying and monitoring company cell phone and being available and responsive during scheduled and non-scheduled hours, except during rest and meal periods as required by applicable state law. May need to have and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record (if position travels between sites) Travel to/from customer site(s), or offsite locations for service, meetings or training as required. Average driving is 1 to 4 hours daily, as required based on site assignment. Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift or carry up to 100 pounds, with assistance available when lifting or carrying items over 50 pounds. Frequently bends, stoops, twists, turns, and full body mobility. May work from ladders or scaffolding, on occasion. Potential exposure to hazardous physical, chemical, radiological and biological agents. May be required to adhere to
certification/credentialing
required by the customer in connection with admission into its facilities to perform job duties. Customer requirements may include, but are not limited to drug testing and immunizations as dictated by the customer or facility policy. Use of personal protective equipment may be required including, but not limited to, radiation monitoring badge, safety glasses, hard hat, hard toed shoes, face masks and medical rubber gloves. Frequently in contact with electrical equipment. Regular grasping and repetitive hand movements. Regularly speaks, hears, and views computers. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, medical test equipment. You're
the right fit if: Associate Degree or 5+ years of biomedical engineering experience. Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations with the ability to ensure department readiness for state and The Joint Commission or DNV inspections. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple conflicting business problems simultaneously under time constraints. Knowledge of computers and networking. Broad mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting and repair skills and proficiency with associated tools and test equipment. Ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge with management and individuals across all department and organizational levels.
