Medical Application Repair & Sales (MARS) is a leading provider of medical equipment service and support across South Carolina and Georgia. We specialize in the repair, maintenance, and installation of mission-critical equipment for ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and other healthcare facilities.
We’re seeking an Entry-Level Biomedical Technician who’s ready to learn, travel, and grow into a specialist role focusing on sterilizers, anesthesia systems, and surgical equipment.
This is a hands-on role based out of our office when not traveling, with 75%+ travel expected to customer sites.
What You’ll Do
Assist with installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs of a wide range of medical devices (starting with general biomedical support)
Shadow and train alongside senior field techs on sterilizers, anesthesia machines, and surgical equipment (Steris, Getinge, Tuttnauer, Primus, etc.)
Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
Maintain service records, documentation, and compliance logs
Provide on-site support at healthcare facilities and act as a professional point of contact for MARS
Help ensure equipment meets all safety and regulatory standards
Be part of an on-call rotation for emergency repairs once trained
What We’re Looking For
Strong technical aptitude and a desire to work hands-on with medical equipment
Willingness and ability to travel 75%+ throughout South Carolina and Georgia
Comfortable working in-office when not traveling
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Basic mechanical, electrical, or plumbing knowledge (trade school or hobbyist experience a plus)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-starter mindset with the ability to learn quickly
High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and compliance
Bonus Points For:
Previous experience with biomedical equipment, sterilizers, anesthesia systems, or related tech (Steris, Getinge, Tuttnauer, Primus, Mindray, etc.)
Military or facilities maintenance experience
OEM certifications or technical school certificates in biomed, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical fields
