We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with a beautiful building in Clearwater MN and an opening for an experienced Trailer Technician in our Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, has a great attitude, and eager to learn. This position handles repair and maintenance of semi-trailers as well as all other styles and sizes of trailers.

SCHEDULE: 

2nd Shift, Monday- Friday, 3pm- 12am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.

• Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.

• Inspect the overall condition of trailers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.

• Compile inspection reports detailing their findings

• Provide after-sale services, such as component installation

• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.

• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards

• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers

 

Requirements

• Great work ethic

• Mechanical aptitude, trailer mechanic experience a plus

• Welding experience a plus

• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
