WHAT TO EXPECT

The Hematology Nurse leads and creates educational programs to help inform patients and care partners about blood cancers. Hosting podcasts, webinars, and workshops, they educate people about chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and myelofibrosis (MF). This role collaborates with medical experts, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to provide accurate, current information.

With a focus on community, the Hematology Nurse encourages people to participate in online support groups or events where they can share their experiences and bond with fellow cancer patients. They also collaborate with advocacy partners and participate on advisory boards to champion their patient's needs. QUALIFICATIONS

Current nursing license
5+ years of experience in a hematology or oncology setting working with CLL and MF patients
Willingness to travel several times a year to major hematology/oncology conferences and academic centers
Medical terminology knowledge and ability to translate research into layman's terms

The ideal Hematology Nurse has experience in community outreach, healthcare education, or nonprofit work, but it's not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and with a team are essential.
