The mission of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation (GGAF) – Ackerman Center is to help children, young adults, and their families master living with autism by providing access to the best-in-class diagnostic and treatment services, vocational programs, family support, and case management to all families facing the challenges of autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

The programs team provides direct services to clients across a variety of programs. The programs include Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Skills Groups, Daily Living Skills Groups, and Vocational Groups.

Job Description

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a professional who practices under the close, ongoing clinical supervision of the Programs Manager. The BCBA provides individual and group clinical assessment, family training and support programming, and treatment for individuals ages up to twenty-four years who have, or who may be at risk for: neurodevelopmental delays and disabilities and social/emotional/behavioral disorders. BCBAs will also be responsible for the clinical supervision and oversight of RBTs/Interventionists as well as supervision of Fieldwork Experience Candidates.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direct Clinical Services

• Completes assessments, as required, to deliver behavior-analytic services. 
• Develops, writes, and updates programing as needed for different programs services, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Skills Groups, Daily Living Skills Groups, and Vocational Groups.
• Implements behavioral programming in 1:1 and group settings.
• Collects data on all programming, analyzes progress and writes progress notes.
• Advises and consults with families and other center personnel. 
• Participates with all other personnel, as needed, in patient care settings. 
• Instructs patients and families in treatment programs and protocols. 
• Provide and model appropriate behavioral strategies for the child and family and conduct regular parent training. 
• Participate in weekly training and supervision for direct care staff (i.e., interventionists, RBTs), in conjunction with the Programs Manager.
• Communicate clinical findings, provide recommendations, and support program development at a variety of meetings with the collaborative team, families, and funding sources
• Carry a caseload for a variety of ages, diagnoses, programs, and funding source requirements
• Supervision of clients and RBTs across all clinical programs (1:1 ABA, Groups, Vocational) 
• Participate in initial and ongoing assessments, under supervision, for a variety of protocols (i.e., ESDM Checklist, FBA, VB-MAPP, Vineland, AFLS) in order to create and maintain individualized programming for each client
• Provide program-specific professional reports and billing in accordance to funding source requirements.
• Ability to travel to community sites to provide ongoing supervision to vocational programing.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including Saturdays.
• Adhere to ethical and practice guidelines as set forth by the BACB board.

Administrative Duties

• Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures. 
• Complete supervision logs and maintain block schedule to ensure productivity is met.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings to collaborate with clinical staff (e.g., Clinical Director, Operations Manager, Medical Staff)
• Participates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned. 
• Communicate with community partners under guidance of Programs Manager as needed to ensure success of vocational program 
• Participate in special events throughout the year to support the fundraising efforts of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation Ackerman Center
• Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field
• Current BCBA Certification 
• Current or eligible for Nevada Licensure 
• Must have reliable transportation 

Qualifications

• Able to pass a Background Check that meets State of Nevada requirements
• Passion for GGAF Ackerman Center mission and the work we do for children and families affected by neurodevelopmental disorders. 
• Patient approach when working with youth, young adults and children
• Experience conducting behavioral assessments, treatment planning, and program design
• Advanced mastery of Discrete Trial Teaching, Incidental Teaching, Functional Communication Training, Verbal Behavior, and Natural Environment training.
• Knowledge and experience with Vocational and ESDM programing preferred
• One-year minimum experience in a supervisory role (as a BCBA or BCaBA) providing direction to multiple levels of direct service staff (BCaBAs and RBTs); OR an equivalent combination of education at or above a Master’s Level and experience as described above.  
• Advance proficiency in the use of a personal computer and current software application including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and email).
