Job Description - Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Pediatric) BCBA

Position Summary

The Pediatric BCBA at Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc. is dedicated to the assessment and treatment of children with behavioral challenges, focusing on early intervention and individualized care. Responsibilities include the assessment and development of applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment plans tailored to each child’s specific needs. The Pediatric BCBA will work closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to implement effective interventions and support the growth of functional skills in young children. This role emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and continuous evaluation of treatment efficacy in order to promote positive behavioral outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for pediatric clients.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized ABA treatment plans aimed at reducing maladaptive behaviors and enhancing adaptive skills.
  • Work collaboratively with families and caregivers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of behavioral interventions in natural environments.
  • Utilize data collection methodologies to analyze treatment effectiveness and make informed adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide direct supervision and training for Behavior Technicians and other support staff and foster a positive, learning-oriented environment.
  • Facilitate communication among team members, families, and other stakeholders involved in the care of the child.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and strategize on treatment modifications.
  • Organize and conduct parent training sessions to empower caregivers with strategies for supporting their child’s development.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing ABA services and uphold ethical standards in practice.
  • Document all services rendered, and compile reports for funding sources, families, and regulatory bodies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field, with recognition as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the BACB.
  • Experience working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities, preferably in a clinical or home-based setting.
  • Must maintain current BCBA certification and fulfill ongoing continuing education requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development, ABA principles, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership qualities and effectively train and mentor staff.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills for data evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on industry advancements.
  • Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance and the ability to travel as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass background investigation that includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint check.
