Job Description - Board Certified Radiation Oncologist, MD, Part -Time, Puerto Rico

Description

GLI is seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide part-time clinical coverage and on-call support for its Radiation Oncology service at a local federal hospital. This is a long-term federal contract position for a Radiation Oncologist seeking highly flexible supplemental work in beautiful Puerto Rico.

You will provide on-site clinical coverage on scheduled days determined in advance, along with on-call availability for urgent patient needs.

Provide on-site Radiation Oncology services at the Federal Caribbean Healthcare System.

Deliver and supervise therapeutic radiation treatment, including emergency/urgent care when required.

Participate in treatment planning, chart rounds, and quality-of-care activities.

Provide 24/7 on-call coverage during assigned periods (call-back hours are billable).

Complete VA clinical documentation in CPRS and participate in required peer reviews.

Comply with all VA credentialing, privileging, and annual training requirements.



Requirements

1. Clinical Requirements

The provider must be:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (ABR – American Board of Radiology)
  • Experienced in:
    • Radiation therapy delivery
    • Treatment planning
    • Managing oncology patients
    • Radiation oncology emergencies
    • Using ARIA / Eclipse or similar systems

2. Licensure & Certification

Must have:

  • Unrestricted U.S. Medical License (any state accepted)
  • Board Certification in Radiation Oncology (ABR)
  • BLS certification (current)
  • MUST BE a U.S. Citizen or hold a Green Card
  • Any state accepted for Medical License
