Description of the Role:

As a Body Shop Estimator at Jim Taylor Auto Group, you will play a crucial role in the overall operations of our body shop department. You will be responsible for providing accurate estimates for repairs on customer vehicles, ensuring timely completion of repairs, and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the entire process.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles and assess damages to accurately estimate repair costs


• Collaborate with customers and insurance providers to explain estimates and discuss repair options


• Prepare detailed repair plans and obtain necessary approvals


• Order parts and materials required for repairs


• Coordinate with the body shop team to schedule repairs and track progress


• Ensure repairs are completed within budget and in a timely manner


• Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions


• Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in a similar role


• Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, techniques, and parts


• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately assess damages


• Proficiency in using computer software and estimating tools


• Excellent communication and customer service skills


• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment


• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
