Body Shop Estimator

Description of the Role:

As a Body Shop Estimator at Dwayne Blackmon Chevrolet Inc in TUPELO, Mississippi, you will play a crucial role in our automotive repair business. You will be responsible for estimating the cost of body damage repairs, managing the workflow in the body shop, and ensuring efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess body damage and create accurate repair cost estimates


• Interact with customers to explain repair procedures and provide timely updates on repair progress


• Collaborate with insurance companies to process claims and negotiate repair costs


• Manage and prioritize workflow in the body shop to ensure timely completion of repairs


• Order necessary parts and materials for repairs and maintain inventory


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment


• Supervise and train body shop personnel

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in a similar position


• Proficient in using industry-standard software for estimating repairs


• Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and techniques


• Excellent communication and customer service skills


• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment


• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating repair costs


• Ability to work well in a team and lead a team of technicians
