Body Shop Parts Associate - CMA's Williamsburg Ford

Description

We are seeking an organized individual with critical thinking skills to support our Collision Center at CMA's Williamsburg Ford!  No experience is required, we will train the ideal candidate!

Essential Duties

• Assists collision repair technicians ordering required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
• Handles parts to be returned efficiently and confirms we are credited properly for returns.
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provides high level of service to internal customers. (May deal with external customers now and then)
• Notifies the collision center manager and technician  when special ordered parts have been received.
• Update CCC when parts arrive.
• Validate parts received are correct (matching what was ordered).
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
• Makes sure all parts are billed on repair orders.
• Deliver parts to technician workstations.
• Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, and special-order parts.
• Participates in all training programs that are made available.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• No prior experience or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. 
• Ability to apply critical thinking to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to address problems and brainstorm solutions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Drivers License - Good Driving Record

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift / carry up to 20 pounds.
