Body Shop Technician – Job Description

Position Summary:
The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing high-quality collision repair, refinishing, and restoration work on vehicles in accordance with company and manufacturer standards. This position requires a strong understanding of body repair techniques, metalwork, and refinishing processes to ensure all vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  Perform all phases of body repair, including disassembly, frame straightening, panel replacement, dent repair, and welding.

  Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine repair needs.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare and install parts, panels, and components as required.

  
  


• 
  

  Sand, mask, and prep surfaces for paint application.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with estimators and parts departments to ensure proper parts are ordered and repairs align with estimates.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards before vehicle delivery.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.

  Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.

  Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

  Assist other technicians and support team members as needed.
