In this role, you'll be responsible for bonding materials using adhesives and techniques that ensure strength, quality, and compliance with customer specifications. You'll work closely with our Quality and Planning departments to produce high-quality components for the aerospace/defense industry.
While bonding experience in aerospace/defense is highly desired, we’re open to training candidates with manufacturing experience and a related or complementary skill set, especially those familiar with bonding processes.
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare and align components for bonding (surface abrasion, cleaning, etc.).
Cut and lay out materials, mix/apply bonding agents (liquid or solid).
Perform hand layup/lamination of carbon, glass, Kevlar, film adhesives, and cores.
Operate curing ovens and other equipment to control temperature, pressure, and cure times.
Inspect bonded products and complete repairs as needed.
Follow all safety and chemical handling protocols per SDS.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Collaborate with Quality and Planning to ensure job readiness and final product accuracy.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills/Abilities
Familiarity with composites, adhesives, and bonding equipment (curing ovens, dies, presses, etc.).
Ability to check dimensions with calipers, pin gauges, rulers, etc.
Familiarity with precision tools such as tweezers, cutters, and adhesive dispensers.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts and hardware.
Basic shop math and computer skills.
Ability to read blueprints, travelers, SOPs and BOMs.
Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Full-time Shifts: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm or 6:00am-3:30pm (every other Friday off)
Pay Range: $18.50-$26.50 per hour

Physical Demands & Work Environment: Work is performed in an open warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, vibrations, fumes, and chemicals.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers.
Manual dexterity and the ability to handle small parts with both hands.
Occasional reaching, twisting, turning, and squatting.
