Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support and manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strongbookkeeping experience, solidExcel skills, and an understanding of (or interest in) the timber and natural resource industry.
What You’ll Do
Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and accountreconciliations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Track and categorize costs by project, business unit, and department
Process bi-monthly timber sale reporting, deposits, and payments
Assist in preparinginternal financial reports,including P&L statements, cash flowreporting and project summaries
Process multi-state payroll and support related compliance and reporting requirements
Maintain organized,accurate, and audit-ready financial records
Assist with month-end close and financial reporting activities
Support the Accounting Manager with tax preparation and year-end reporting
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field and/or 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in timber, forestry, or natural resources industries
Understanding of job costing or project-based accounting
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of advanced experience and professional certifications

Salary range: $22–$27/hour ($45,000–$55,000 annually), depending on experience
