Goodhouse is a growing, full-service outdoor and property services company with a diverse portfolio spanning landscape, hardscape, pool construction and maintenance, general construction, dumpster rental, and more. Behind every project is a team keeping the business running — and we're looking for a sharp, organized Bookkeeper to be a key part of that team.


Position Summary


The Bookkeeper will own the day-to-day transactional accounting functions that keep our operations moving. This role is primarily focused on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with additional support in recordkeeping and general accounting tasks. If you're someone who takes pride in accuracy, stays on top of the details, and can handle a fast-paced, high-volume environment — this one's for you.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Accounts Payable



  • Process vendor invoices accurately and on time.

  • Manage payment runs and ensure proper documentation for all disbursements.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain organized AP records and support audit documentation as needed.


Accounts Receivable



  • Generate and send customer invoices on schedule.

  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.

  • Post payments and reconcile AR records accurately.

  • Assist with collections activities as needed.


General Bookkeeping & Support



  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across systems.

  • Support bank reconciliations and routine account maintenance.

  • Assist the accounting team with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks.

  • Help ensure accuracy between operating modules and financial systems.


Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus.

  • 1–3 years of bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to manage high transaction volume and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP software; QuickBooks experience is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
