Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Operations to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include managing and tracking  transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and updating parishioner giving. The ideal candidate is very detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. 



Responsibilities 

  • Enter financial data and transactions

  • Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered

  • Prepare trial balance 

  • Analyze budgets and other financial information

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Work with an accountant for audits

 
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field or

  • Previous experience as an bookkeeper, accountant, or similar position

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • Excellent with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
