Bookkeeper - Innovative Company

Marcum Search is assisting our real estate client in their search for a Bookkeeper in Beachwood, OH. This position is in-office.

Responsibilities

• Scan, code, and post vendor invoices to system.
• Answering phones daily on overflow from reception
• Monthly Commercial Tenant Billing
• A/R – Cash Receipts all properties (daily deposits)
• Follow up calls on delinquent commercial tenants.
• Enter new commercial leases/renewals.
• Semi Monthly Payroll processing
• Monthly Bank and Other Reconciliations
• Record late fees for commercial properties and call delinquent accounts.
• Filing all payables, receivables, loans, bank statements, and other as requested
• Annual 1099 Preparation.
• Annual Commercial Tenant CAM Calculation and Collection
• Other work that may be requested from time to time by Controller and Senior management.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• College degree preferred or minimum equivalent of 5 years of general accounting required.
• Experience with payables, reconciliations, and journal entries. Experience with lease renewals also helpful, but not required.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of inter-related business processes.
• Tech savvy, with a minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Working knowledge of Yardi a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
