Hourly $25 to $35 depending on experience 

REQUIRED SKILLS: GELCOATING AND FIBERGLASS REPAIR EXPEREINCE  

Experience operating, repairing and rigging sailboats, installing deck hardware, replacing rivets, replacing running rigging. 

Reports to Sailing Director 

No supervisory duties 

Job purpose

The general scope of work includes the maintenance and management of all the sailing assets, including club-owned sailboats and powerboats, and facilitating Fleet Pass reservations. 

The Bosun will report to the Sailing Director and work as a team with all of the sailing staff for the good of the program. Duties and responsibilities 

1. Managing a spreadsheet of sailing assets and required maintenance schedules. 

2. Conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of sailing assets. 

3. Keeping coach boats fueled and inflated and ready for operation. 

4. Facilitating Fleet Pass reservations by making sure that boats are ready for use and assisting Members in the check-out/in process. 

5. Provide guidance and recommendations for fleet management. 

6. Work generally to improve the operations of the Sailing Program for the benefit of the CYC Members. 

Preferred Required 

1. Must be experienced to work independently conducting fiberglass, gelcoat, and rigging repairs on sailboats. 

2. Must have general experience in fiberglass boat maintenance and detailing. 

3. Must possess the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve. 

4. Must possess good organizational and communications skills. 

5. Must be able to work as part of a team for the benefit of the club. 

6. Must possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to help build a world class sailing program. 

7. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, being polite and respectful to the members, guests, and coworkers. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds. • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. • Moderate noise level in the work environment
