Job Description - Bottling Service Technician
Role Description:
A large beverage manufacturer is seeking a Bottling Service Technician to join its team in Santa Rosa, CA. This position will work full time both on-site and remotely as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining a range of equipment used in the beverage industry.
What skills you will need:
- Conduct machinery troubleshooting: document repairs made.
- Replace or repair defective parts.
- Reassemble equipment and test for conformance to specifications.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls.
- Interpret technical documents (prints, manuals) as required.
- Performs electrical installations; installs wiring and conduit safely in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
- Operate a range of tools needed for project completing (drills, grinders, etc.)
- Service pumps and drive system components.
- Troubleshoot alarms related to key winery systems.
- Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for bottling line equipment, and filtration equipment.
- Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for de-stemmers, presses, and crush pads.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or an Associate degree, or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 3 years of maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial mechanical, or automotive environment.
- Required to complete and maintain certifications as assigned.
- Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
- Required to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Required to work in a tight and confined space.
- Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic electrical concepts.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel at a basic level.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Required to travel to customer sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, or department needs.
