Job Description - Bowling Center Head Mechanic

Premier Lanes – Acadiana is seeking an experienced and dedicated Bowling Center Head Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and operation of our bowling facility, featuring QubicaAMF 8270 pinsetters. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring optimal lane conditions and equipment performance for an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform daily maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on QubicaAMF 8270 pinsetters, lanes, scoring systems, ball returns, and other essential equipment.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
  • Coordinate ordering and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Train, lead, and schedule assistant mechanics or technicians.
  • Collaborate with management to support center operations, including readiness for leagues, tournaments, and special events.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
  • Assist in facility upkeep beyond lanes, including lighting, HVAC, and minor building repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience pinsetters or similar bowling equipment required.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous supervisory or lead mechanic experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or formal training in bowling equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with QubicaAMF scoring systems and modern bowling technology.
