Brake Press Operator

We are currently looking for a qualified Brake Press Operator to join our team. This position will be responsible to set up and operate the machine to bend, form or straighten metal sheets and plates as specified by work order, blueprints, drawings, templates, or layout. Communication with customers and functional organizations within the company is an important part of this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform tests and adjustments to speed or action, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
• Adapt, perform and communicate in a face-paced, high mix/low volume fabrication shop environment.
• Ability to problem solve new problems.
• Install, align and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades or other fixtures.
• Perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations and perform inspection procedures to verify work.
• Understand and follow procedures that comply with Company policies.
• Perform other fabrication/assembly functions throughout the shop when special work demands exist.

Requirements

Job Requirements

· 3-5 years of previous experience running press brakes and rollers

· Large press experience. Preferred 20’ bed length, 1000+ tons

· Hardened plate experience (Hardox, AmeriBraze, TriBraze materials)

· Basic computer usage skills required

· Experience with step forming radii required

· Previous CNC press brake control experience is a plus

· Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. continuously

· Able to speak, read and write the English language

· Have strong attention to detail

· Good work ethic
