Job Position: Brake Press Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00/hour (DOE)
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Sapulpa, OK. This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires working around overhead cranes, forklifts, power equipment, and other industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with fabrication equipment, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect materials according to drawings for grade type and correctness prior to operation
• Operate various machines including brake press, shear, rolls, angle line, plasma tables, saws, drills, and Voortman equipment
• Set up machines to produce parts according to drawings and perform regular maintenance
• Maintain consistent productivity that meets company standards and work instructions
• Ensure all workmanship aligns with company quality requirements
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Sustain 5S organizational and cleanliness standards
• Contribute positively to the team with a professional and collaborative attitude

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of press brake experience
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
• Proficient in reading and writing basic shop communications
• Familiar with measuring devices including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Ability to read English, interpret shop drawings, and understand bills of materials
• Eagerness to learn new skills and improve existing capabilities
