Duncan-Parnell is growing and looking for a Geospatial Branch Manager for our Knoxville, TN location. If you are dedicated, customer-focused, and have a desire to be a part of a great team, this may be the job for you.

Job Overview

The Geospatial Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the designated branch location. Core duties encompass local staffing and personnel management, customer relations, inside sales and order fulfillment, inventory management, merchandising, and facilities management.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Directly manage assigned team of branch personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluation and improvement, corrective/disciplinary action, and career development.
  • Connect and interact regularly with employees to monitor and gauge morale and engagement.
  • Manage & approve branch employee timecards and PTO requests through ADP payroll system.
  • Ensure branch team receives and processes orders from customers and/or Sales team according to company procedures, using the company CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Prophet 21) systems.
  • Manage customer relationships and provide support and resolution for issues regarding pricing, invoicing, order processing, customer data, other administrative aspects, etc.
  • Manage communications and interactions with the Sales team to ensure branch team provides appropriate support in areas such as product availability, pricing, customer order processing, order fulfillment, back-order management, order expediting, etc.
  • Manage communications and disseminate information to branch employees from Corporate, Executive Vice President(s), Operations Director, and/ or Regional Operations Manager.
  • Support company inventory management initiatives by performing annual inventory and routine cycle counts, monitoring and maintaining levels of local inventory, processing inventory adjustments, and supporting 365 inventory reduction efforts.
  • Remain up-to-date and informed on the latest product offerings being made available from key suppliers.
  • Oversee facilities management activities (e.g., janitorial service, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, alarm system, broadband internet access, waste removal, landscaping, etc.). Negotiate and manage service agreements with local service providers and ensure all areas of the building and grounds are always maintained in a neat, clean, presentable, and safe manner.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by Regional Operations Manager.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work consistently with accuracy.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, college degree in business is an added plus.
  • Minimum three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in surveying/mapping industry with Trimble products preferred.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with P21 (Epicor) ERP and Salesforce CRM software is a solid plus.

  • Must be able to perform critical physical tasks in support of the core functions of this position, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, and reaching.
