Branch Manager, Producing

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, performance, and compliance of the branch. This role drives production, develops top-tier talent, ensures regulatory excellence, and maintains a high-performance culture focused on service, accountability, and profitability. 

The Branch Manager owns the branch’s results — including revenue growth, pipeline health, quality control, team development, and market presence — while protecting the organization through disciplined risk management and ethical business practices. 

Producing Branch Managers are expected to balance personal production with strategic branch leadership, setting the standard for professionalism, urgency, and performance. 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Growth 

• Drive branch production, profitability, and market share. 
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing Loan Officers and support staff. 
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable. 
• Identify market trends, growth opportunities, and performance gaps. 
• Build strategic referral relationships within the community. 

Operational & Financial Management 

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. 
• Monitor pipeline metrics, pull-through ratios, and closing performance. 
• Maintain disciplined expense management and resource allocation. 
• Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure smooth execution. 

Compliance & Risk Oversight 

• Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local, and investor guidelines. 
• Maintain quality control standards to mitigate repurchase and regulatory risk. 
• Promote a culture where compliance is integrated into daily operations. 
• Identify potential fraud risks and ensure proper documentation practices. 

Production (if applicable) 

• Originate residential mortgage loans in compliance with company and regulatory standards. 
• Consult with borrowers regarding loan options and structure appropriate solutions. 
• Maintain accurate and complete loan files. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. 
• Active NMLS license required. 
• 5+ years of mortgage industry experience with demonstrated leadership ability. 
• Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and investor guidelines. 
• Proven ability to recruit and develop talent. 
• Strong financial, operational, and compliance acumen. 
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
