ABOUT THE POSITION

Are you a people-focused leader who thrives on building strong teams, creating exceptional member experiences, and making an impact in the community?

As a Branch Manager at Visions Federal Credit Union, you’ll lead a talented branch team, support employee growth, strengthen member relationships, and help drive the success of the branch. This role is ideal for a collaborative, service-minded leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and creating a positive experience for both employees and members.

Position Title: Branch Manager - Syracuse, NY

Position Type: Monday - Friday, 2 Saturdays per month.

Compensation Range: $65,000/yr. - $77,000/yr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: Position is on-site at our Syracuse Branch located at 500 Erie Boulevard West, Syracuse, NY

• Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing branch team focused on service, growth, and operational excellence.


• Create a positive, inclusive team environment where employees feel supported, empowered, and accountable.


• Champion an outstanding member experience by modeling professionalism, service excellence, and relationship-building.


• Oversee daily branch operations while maintaining strong compliance, accuracy, confidentiality, and internal controls.


• Build relationships in the community and support outreach efforts that strengthen Visions’ local presence.


• Use performance insights to guide priorities, support team success, and adapt to changing member and business needs.


• Maintain required licensing and certifications, including NMLS registration, Notary Public license, and Medallion Signature Guarantee certification as applicable.


• Contribute to department and organizational goals by staying flexible, engaged, and aligned with Visions’ mission and values.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or 4–6 years of relevant experience without a degree.


• Experience leading, coaching, motivating, or developing a team.


• Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and time management skills.


• A passion for creating excellent member experiences and supporting a welcoming team culture.


• The ability to adapt, prioritize, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced branch environment.


• Comfort using Microsoft Office and standard office technology.


• A willingness to learn branch systems, processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Previous financial industry experience.
