Position Description-Breakfast Cook

Position Summary- The Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality

breakfast items for guests staying at The Inn. The person in this position takes pride in knowing that they play a key role in starting our guest’s day off right with exceptional meals and friendly service.

Reports to: Executive Chef FLSA Status: Full time Non-Exempt

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a breakfast cook, line cook, or similar role preferred.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong understanding of breakfast menu items and food safety regulations.
• High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under limited supervision.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• A team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for hospitality.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: 

• Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, steam, and various food preparation equipment
• Early morning hours-6-6:30am start
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching and stooping

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, meats, baked goods, and fresh sides, according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked breakfast station before and during service.
• Ensure all food is presented in a timely, attractive, and safe manner.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, as well as inventory rotation.
•  Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and assist with other kitchen duties as needed
