As line/rounds cook you will be expected to produce hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and breakfast dishes. Other work includes preparing foods from scratch for our breakfast, lunch, prepared foods, and catering menus. 1 Year previous experience in a scratch cafe, fine foods, or catering environment.
Candidate’s must be able to:
Lift heavy objects (50lbs +)
Maintain a clean and organized workplace
Know how to read and interpret recipes
Help maintain a clean kitchen and storage areas
Be willing to learn
1 years previous experience in kitchen work is required
Job requires weekend availability
Days only, no nights (breakfast and lunch, out by 3:00pm)
Conveniently on the 73 bus route

Chef & Owner Jason Reed’s roots at 105 trapelo road go back a long way. While working at vicki lee’s for the last 12 years he has learned to operate a professional kitchen, met his wife, and started a family. It only seems appropriate that he is starting his next venture here with the opening of Ovenbird Cafe. Ovenbird Cafe will continue the same tradition of providing Belmont with a place to go to for wholesome food, warm and inviting service and quality desserts, as well as many of your VLB favorites.
