Description
The role involves monitoring flocks to ensure compliance with company standards. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Grower Department Manager and Producers, managing flock performance, maintaining positive producer relationships, and providing necessary guidance. Weekly farm visits are required to evaluate flock care, collect data, and ensure operations meet Culver Standards. The position also entails developing strategies to enhance live production, addressing issues with struggling flocks, recommending equipment updates, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s or associate degree (poultry or other agricultural related degree is preferred) and/or equivalent related work experience, to include 1-5 years of poultry experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
o Ability to effectively communicate; both written and oral.
o Experience with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
o Experience with MTech
Experience:
o Animal/Livestock
Certification/Licenses:
o Valid Drivers’ License
o Experience in animal husbandry/animal welfare
Travel Requirements:
o Travel will be expected
Physical and Mental Job Requirements
o Ability to easily move through all facets of Live Operations and Processing Plant.
o Periods of long standing and/or walking are expected
o Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time; read and analyze reports.
o Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Working Conditions
o Office and outdoor working conditions are expected
